Alongside copper we also buy brass, aluminium, lead, zinc and stainless steel. For aluminium, clean sheet, profile, cast pieces and alloy wheels are separate categories, it pays to bring material sorted, because a mixed lot is weighed in the lowest category. For cable, the recovery rate decides: the higher the copper content, the better the price. If you are unsure about the composition, our on-site XRF analysis tells you within minutes.

We grade non-ferrous metal by visual inspection and, where needed, XRF analysis before quoting. Mixed loads are sorted on intake, you see the breakdown on your weighing slip.

- Do you accept insulated cable?
- Yes, we take copper cable with the insulation on, the price is set by the copper content (recovery rate) of the cable.
- Should I bring non-ferrous metal sorted or mixed?
- Sorted pays better: a mixed lot can only be settled in the lowest category involved. At intake we weigh each grade separately.
